How wonderful the MASTER BRINGS THE FERRY IN. I known both way's
What year was this?
All those old ferries had character.in 1959 when I was just a lad living in central Victoria , my dad who loved Sydney Harbour and the ferries took me for a visit. A wonderful experience I still cherish all these years on. Remember the Show Bo, at. Similar size to the South Steyne but I would imagine older. Great memories
I know this is an old video, but damn I had no idea there was a control room for ferries! I’ve only ever been on Fishburn and that would be over 30 years ago when I went to the zoo. God it feels strange saying that I did something 30 years ago.
Oh, Darling Harbor Sydney Coast I'd like forever to get lost In this fantastic paradise Where everything is very nice I feel like being in a dream No fear it's melting like ice-cream On burning rays of Aussie sun Looks like a prize I have just won From God himself and from my fate When I could open Heaven's gate Called Darling Harbor Sydney Coast Australia... I've truly lost Or maybe given you my heart Since now we cannot be apart I'm sure hundreds of percent I love this magic continent Its climate, beaches, ocean waves Long time ago, like ancient slaves, State convicts only worked in there Now happy people everywhere Across these streets have daily walks Enjoying life in noisy talks. Among these citizens I am! Got lucky to be one of them. Australia! How I love you! No kind of happiness I knew Can match the one I've just received Whom shall I thank for this best gift That most of us can't conjure up? Delicious wine in golden cup Was given me in paradise The smallest continent by size The best of countries in the world Australia, you're like a pearl! You're shining like the brightest star! That's really close, though seems so far... But you are closest for my heart Where you became the dearest part!!!
Ten year go Iam living on Swansea...100 pacific highway flat 3
I’m in love with this video! It’s seriously incredible, you should be proud!😍🙌🏾 I’ve just created a cinematic India video, can you check it out and see what you think? - m.ruclips.net/video/IDxiPXEmj8A/видео.html
This butchery has to be stopped!
Very good video. The way you show it is very easy to follow
Thats 1 thing i miss about down there is going on the manly ferry and going the beach to have a surf.. i now live in north qld
Sorry, not a round turn!
how did you get in the bridge?
There used to be a lookout on the pier closest to Circular Quay ( where the bots are ). The bridge has a labyrinth of Stairways used by maintenance workers since it was built.
Greg the gentlemen in this video, is a family friend and he loves his job. it was a sad day when he retired.
Hello Jim, nice vid. The way you tie it at 1:40 isn't a bowline tho mate.
l el , yo u fe king c all th at r op e?
yes very good
plenty of room! Port-to-port what's the problem?
Great video, nice to see behind the scenes
So interesting to watch. ¸¸.•*¨*•*´¨)...... ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤ Thank you Nara ............. (◕‿◕) ,,
Great clip, pretty music.
This is actually a turn and two half-hitches. A round turn would go around the object one more time.
You tied it incorrectly.
good
sounds ok to me
The eye
Awesome video!!!! I live in Melbourne but I looooooooooooooove going on the ferries. One time in my hotel room, for 7 hours strait I watched the ferries go by
Get rid of fu_king ads!
This comment is a time capsule. What a different time for RUclips it was in 2013
Nice job.... That is exactly how I do it too....
Perfect video! I watched 6-7 other vids and yours was the one that did it for me! Mahalos from Hawaii ;-)
I wish you had used different color table cloth. White background and white rope make it hard for the eyes. Using three different color tapes at the end of the rope would help a lot to distinguish the ends. I had to watch several times to understand what you were doing.
AIS is connected to the Gyro Compass and will indicate the ships true heading.
Awesome Jim, thanks! Just one thing though, because there are 3 strands equally spread apart (from center axis), then that would place them at 120° from each other - and not 45° like you keep stating. 360° (a circle) divided equally in 3 is 120°. Have a good one mate!
Stupid video Next time just fold the damn knot stop pointing at it for 39 seconds
It is very threatening and take your time to recovery. There have few technique to increase eyesight naturally with out spending any dangerous operation, you have to discover more about that when considering operation. Look at below website for additional information: www.fine4.info/improve-vision-without-surgery
The video is incorrect. It does not show an actual "round turn." A round turn passes behind the object twice, for an actual wrap-and-a-half before tying the half-hitches. The knot in the video cannot be safely untied under tension. If tied with a full round turn, the knot can be safely untied under tension.
NAAA NAAA NAAaaaA NAAA NA NA Naaa
Good video thanks for the tips on splicing.
nice how to vid jim.
My old skipper would have flogged me for doing it that way.
Wow. I thought coiled rope had to be in loops, not flaked. What on earth has happened here?
where is the sound?
Love jumping on the Ferries regardless if it's a cruise over to manly or back or if it's just for a random jump on one of the first fleeters for a cruise around the harbour, But out of all the Sydney ferries I dont know why but Sirius (one of the first fleeters) is my Favorite, in my home office pretty much have a full wall of pictures on A4 just of Sirius and when there finally decommisioned and replaced I'll be hunting down to buy Sirius and give it a home here in Port Macquarie, I love em
I saw a similar thing at Surface EOD Marrangaroo
Thanks that has made it really simple for me. Good with the little steps. :)
Awesome behind the scenes footage there of the first fleeters, I can only name a couple of them, Sirius, Golden Grove, Friendship, Scarabourogh, Fishburn, Charolette, but Never seen the Supply in the metal as seen in the clip as yet. When there finally decommisioned and replaced the replacment will have some big shoes to fill But would any one know what the limits are wave size wise for them ie with a 68 foot single hull yacht say the limit is 7 foot before it's out of it's depth and in trouble
Да, для начинающих впервые.
Мужик ужасный тормоз. 20 минут узел плести!
ok tks for that - all look at it.
you one done one turn, there are to turns before the hitches.
Great Footage
